Home Business - Psychology of the Buyer in a Single Word

With the advent of the internet and technology in general much has changed about commerce and marketing. However, one thing has NOT changed. In fact, it is the same today as it was in the days of building the pyramids of Egypt.

It is the psychology of the buyer. Today's buyer is driven by the same psychology as has driven buyers since buying began. You can sum up the psychology of a buyer in a single word. It is . . .

Selfishness!

No one likes to think of himself or herself as selfish. But the fact remains, we are ALL inherently selfish. Even those of you who are at this moment adamantly denying your selfishness are just as selfish as the rest of us.

We work hard to overcome it's command of our actions and this is commendable. But, when it comes to buying our ONLY interest is "What's In It For ME."

To be effective in your marketing you MUST understand this fact. Those to whom you market your business, product, or service have little interest in your company name, who you are, how skilled you are at what you do, how long you've done what you do, or how many satisfied customers you have, UNLESS it means there's something more in it for them.

Your marketing must ALWAYS address the question, "What's In It For Me".
